What this guide is
Chainsmoker Cat Guide is an independent English reference for the Yani Neko anime and manga. It is not run by the production committee, a broadcaster, Netflix, Kodansha, Seven Seas, or Bibury Animation Studios.
The aim is to make official watch information, cast names, episode links, manga editions, and music credits easier to find in one place.
How information is checked
Official anime pages are used for broadcast, version, story, character, staff, music, and video information. Publisher pages are used for manga editions and release details, while licensed service pages are used for availability checks tied to an account or region.
Community pages can help readers find discussion, but they are not treated as proof of plot facts, schedule changes, or service availability.
How updates and sources appear
Each guide carries its own update date. A page date changes when that page's material changes, rather than when an unrelated page is edited.
Links beside factual sections point to the most relevant source, and the complete source list remains at the end of the page for readers who want to check further.
Where to go for a specific answer
Use the official anime site for broadcast, story, character, staff, music, and Japanese-book information. Use Seven Seas for English publication dates, formats, and ISBNs. Use a licensed service page for availability in the account and region you actually use.
The guide keeps those source types separate because a cast credit, a publisher release date, and a streaming menu answer different questions. When a page cannot confirm a fact from the appropriate source, it should link readers to the source rather than fill the gap with a guess.
