Episode 4 follows Yanineko after she loses her part-time job and becomes an assistant to manga artist Ochinpo Tatsuro, who lives in the same apartment building.

She damages a manuscript and has to make amends. A police visit then raises the pressure around the manga artist's home, giving the episode a new work and neighbor conflict.

Episode 5 shifts attention toward Imoko's attempt to make Yanineko stop smoking. She hides cigarettes, confiscates the ones she finds, and tries to control a habit that shapes the entire apartment routine.

The story also follows a more youthful event around Imoko before returning to Yanineko's determination to keep smoking. The episode adds space for the sisters' relationship while keeping nicotine at the center of the comedy.

Episode 6 follows Yanineko's attempt to keep a failing lighter going by passing one flame from cigarette to cigarette. Aruneko disappears during a drinking session, and Ochinpo Tatsuro brings in three temporary assistants before a deadline.
