Chainsmoker Cat Episode 6: Story, Cast, Staff & Stills

Chainsmoker Cat Episode 6 turns a failing lighter into a chain of small decisions. Yanineko tries to keep one cigarette lit by carrying the flame from one cigarette to the next instead of replacing the lighter or changing her routine.

The episode also follows Aruneko after she disappears during a drinking session and is later found around Enoshima. That separate mishap keeps the story moving between the characters' ordinary bad habits and the places those habits take them.

Ochinpo Tatsuro is close to a deadline, so a beastfolk temporary-work company sends Inoue, Tanaka, and Yamada to help with the manga work. The workplace becomes another setting where a practical task can turn into an apartment-building problem.

This part of Episode 6 widens the cast without changing the series' scale. The pressure comes from a deadline, a job arrangement, and the people who have to share the consequences when Yanineko's habits enter the room.

For the manga-artist context, see the Saori character guide.

Episode 6 introduces Penpen Neko and gives the supporting cast a larger place in the anime. Penpen Neko becomes more important again in Episode 7, while Toronyan and the three temporary assistants receive episode-specific cast credits.

The production panel below lists the staff and additional performers documented for this episode, including the izakaya clerk, reporter, and the Metal Bat members connected with the episode's eyecatch.

The Episode 6 eyecatch was handled by the comedy duo 金属バット (Metal Bat). The official story page and the six-image gallery provide the episode's production context without reproducing the Japanese synopsis word for word.
