Episode 4 recap

After losing her part-time job, Yanineko takes work as an assistant to manga artist Ochinpo Tatsuro, who lives in the same apartment building. The new job gives her a practical task, but it does not give her a fresh start.

Yanineko damages Ochinpo Tatsuro's manuscript and is forced to make amends. The problem quickly becomes larger when police arrive at the manga artist's home, turning a workplace mistake into a tense situation for the people living nearby.

The episode keeps Yanineko's familiar pattern intact: she tries to help, creates another problem, and then has to find a way to respond before the people around her can move on.

A job inside the apartment building

Episode 4 moves Yanineko's work trouble into the same building where rent, neighbors, and household rules already shape her life. The assistant job is therefore more than a temporary setting; it places her habits directly beside another person's creative work.

That arrangement also brings Saori's manga-artist identity closer to the center of the story. Her character page explains the official profile and role label, while this recap keeps the focus on the episode's new work conflict.

When the manuscript becomes the crisis

The damaged manuscript gives the episode a clear consequence. Yanineko is not simply asked to perform a task and then sent home; her mistake affects work that another person needs, so an apology or promise alone cannot settle the problem.

This is where the series' adult-comedy structure remains useful. The humor starts with Yanineko's poor judgment, but the surrounding characters still have deadlines, responsibilities, and reasons to object to what she has done.

The published story setup describes the manuscript damage and the required atonement without resolving every detail. The recap keeps that boundary clear and leaves the police visit as part of the episode's tension rather than turning it into an unsupported conclusion.

The police visit changes the tone

The police arrival shifts Episode 4 from an awkward job story into a situation with uncertainty around the apartment. Yanineko's immediate goal is no longer just to finish an assistant task; she has to consider what her actions have caused for Ochinpo Tatsuro.

That change of tone gives the episode a stronger story question than the usual rent or smoking mishap. Yanineko may not have a reliable plan, but the episode asks what she can do for someone else when her own habits have made the situation worse.

Where Episode 4 fits in the watch order

Watch Episode 4 after Episode 3's park and apartment conflict. The fourth story returns to the building but changes the pressure from rent and chores to unstable work, damaged creative material, and a neighbor facing an unexpected problem.

Continue to Episode 5 for a story that shifts attention toward Imoko and her attempt to control Yanineko's smoking. The episode hub keeps both recaps in broadcast order alongside the official story entries.
