Chainsmoker Cat Episode 9: Story, Cast, Staff & Stills

Episode 9, titled ニャーの妹ちゃんはモテモテにゃ, brings Imoko's school life into the foreground. A girl who admires her prepares a present, while trouble connected with Yanineko spreads from the station to the apartment.

The official synopsis follows the commotion from a station restroom into Yanineko's apartment. The gift prepared for Imoko brings the episode's bathroom humor into her school story as well.

Yakuneko obtains a reality-changing app and uses it to turn Yanineko into an intense opponent of smoking. The change affects Yanineko's attitude toward cigarettes, but it does not improve her cleanliness.

The app changes how Yanineko talks about smoking while leaving the habits and apartment problems around her intact.

The episode moves between Imoko's school life and Yanineko's problems at home, tying the sisters' separate settings together through a present and the apartment commotion.

Yakuneko's app adds another change to the household, but the underlying relationships and daily habits remain. The story's humor comes from the contrast between an altered opinion about smoking and the mess that surrounds Yanineko.
