Chainsmoker Cat Episode 12: Final Episode, Story & Stills

Episode 12, titled ニャーは最終回でもヤニを吸うにゃ, is the confirmed final episode of the television anime. The residents face work problems and an unreasonable digging assignment.

Yanineko's frustration eventually erupts against the landlord, turning the apartment into the setting for a chaotic confrontation. The story closes on accumulated stress and the residents carrying on together.

The confrontation grows into an apartment-wide fight with microwaves flying, matching the official synopsis' description of the residents reaching their limit.

The official credits list a script by Takashi Aoshima, a storyboard by Taku Kimura, direction by Taku Kimura, Shinichiro Ushijima, and Kotaro Matsunaga, and chief animation direction by Chikara Matsuura, Tomomi Noda, Chika Noumi, and 曾品喬.

The official Episode 12 announcement includes six advance stills, staff credits, and a preview. Its narration was newly written by the original manga creators, NyanNyanFactory.

The official Story section lists 12 numbered episodes, and both the Episode 12 announcement and Blu-ray BOX announcement identify Episode 12 as the final episode. The Blu-ray BOX is set to include all 12 episodes.

The television anime's ending does not mean that the original Yani Neko manga has ended. Young Magazine Web continues to list new web chapters separately.
